The Sante
The Sante is a commercial villa in Canggu, Bali, designed to create a more intimate hospitality experience while embracing the openness of surrounding rice fields. From the beginning, we saw the site as an opportunity to frame nature as part of the guest journey, allowing every space to feel connected yet private.
The design explores a tropical Mediterranean approach, combining curved forms with natural materials such as wood and stone. Wide openings are introduced to invite natural light and enhance airflow, shaping a bright and relaxed atmosphere throughout the villa.
Upon entry, guests are welcomed by a circular stair and a seamless flow between kitchen, dining, sunken living, and pool area, all oriented toward the rice field view. This open layout becomes the social heart of the villa.
Upstairs, bedrooms are designed as quiet retreats with direct access to a balcony, offering a balanced experience of comfort, beauty, and connection to the landscape.
